Planning your visit

Haddo House may be closed occasionally for functions and it’s advisable to phone before making a special visit here.

Please note that Pay & Display parking (not National Trust for Scotland) is available in the country park. Working in partnership with the Haddo Country Park Forum, we’re pleased to offer free parking to those National Trust for Scotland members visiting for a tour of Haddo House. Validated tickets are available from the shop at the time of booking your tour and are valid for one day.

Drone flying is not permitted at this property without prior permission and approval. Commercial operators should contact the Trust’s Filming Manager at filming@nts.org.uk.

Facilities & access

We have an ongoing programme of accessible content development. Detailed accessibility guides for the most visited Trust places are available on our Accessibility pages as well as links to useful resources.

Haddo House is open to all visitors through guided tours – the tour lasts approximately 75 minutes.

Please telephone 01651 851440 to arrange a tour time, or you may book at the shop.

As you walk through corridors lined with ceramics and curios, you’ll hear about the fascinating stories of the Gordon family who lived at Haddo for over 400 years. There’s something to see every step of the way, as the house is packed full of period furniture, furnishings and family memorabilia – remember to look up at the ceilings too. Don’t miss the Queen’s Bedroom, where Queen Victoria stayed in 1857.

Pre-booked groups are very welcome.

  • Part of the garden, Haddo Country Park, the shop, tearoom and toilets are wheelchair accessible.

During opening hours, access to the house is available through guided tours only at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.
