Getting here
From Cupar, take the A914 towards Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy. Just outside Cupar, take the A916 to Craigrothie. Hill of Tarvit Mansion is signposted from this junction.
From the south, follow signs via Peat Inn to Pitscottie. From there follow the tourist signs via Ceres to Hill of Tarvit Mansion.

Gardens
Our gardens and wider grounds are free for everyone to enjoy and open from dawn until dusk all year round, with no booking required. Dogs are welcome throughout the estate and gardens but must be kept under close control/on a lead. Assistance dogs only are permitted in the mansion house.
Parking
Parking is free for members and Kingarrock golfers; otherwise it’s £4 per day.

There are lovely walks through the woodlands up to the top of the Tarvit Hill, from where you can see as far as the Perthshire hills on a clear day.
We’re developing parts of the gardens into a plant finder’s garden, which reflects the collecting ethos of the Sharp family. Follow the special trail to discover many fascinating and unusual plants along the borders in the north garden.
- There’s a front door ramp into the house where visitors can access the ground floor and toilets.
- There are stairs leading to the top floors, with no disabled access.
- There are gravel paths throughout the grounds.
