Experience the work we do to preserve and protect Scotland’s rich natural heritage and cultural treasures first-hand
Ever wanted to know what goes into caring for and protecting some of Scotland’s most spectacular landscapes and nature? Now is your chance to find out!

We’re offering one lucky winner and up to three family members or friends the chance to go behind-the-scenes at one of the National Nature Reserves in our care and experience the role our countryside rangers play in caring for these important habitats and the wildlife that call them home.

The winner will experience first-hand the work our charity does to preserve and protect Scotland’s rich natural heritage and cultural treasures. The winner and their guests will join the countryside rangers in their daily tasks, participate in conservation projects, and fully experience the beauty of one of our selected nature reserves (Ben Lawers, Corrieshalloch Gorge, Glencoe, Mar Lodge Estate or St Abb’s Head).

In addition to the exclusive behind-the-scenes opportunity, the lucky winners will enjoy a two-night stay in one of the Trust’s charming holiday cottages. As an added bonus, they will receive a year’s Trust membership granting them access to over 100 incredible places and hundreds of unforgettable experiences.

Even if you don’t secure the grand prize, don’t worry! Five runners-up will also each win an annual Trust membership.

Our team of conservation experts, alongside many willing volunteers, work tirelessly throughout the year to maintain the habitats that support our precious animal and plant communities to thrive, and manage visitor activity, ensuring responsible access to protect Scotland’s iconic landscapes. Winners will have the opportunity to participate in various activities such as guided walks, monitoring plants and wildlife, planting trees and managing invasive plant species.

Players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £3.4 million to help the Trust enrich and protect Scotland’s landscapes and wildlife. These funds also support a dedicated team of countryside rangers who work to protect these unique spaces while enabling safe and sustainable access for everyone.

One of the programmes to have benefited is the Trust’s Love our Nature project, which covers a variety of nature conservation activity from conservation cattle grazing to counting seabird populations and staff positions. Last year, People’s Postcode Lottery pledged £900k to support the Trust’s broad range of nature conservation projects taking place across the nature reserves and other wild places in its care.

By supporting our charity to protect the places you love, you share the love — help us continue to care for and share Scotland’s nature, beauty, and heritage now and for future generations to enjoy.

The competition is hosted by media publisher Reach plc.
